Our planet is known as the green planet. However, something sad is happening. It is losing its color. To keep it green, we must protect our environment, the water, the earth and the air we breathe. What can we do? We can all do our part. Start by following the "green" guide: reduce, reuse, recycle and enjoy nature.

1 - Reduce!

Reduce the amount of resources you use and throw away. For example, taking a shorter shower means you use less water and less fuel to heat the water.

2 - Reuse!

Reuse stuff when you can. Avoid throwing away household items like furniture, toys or clothing. If a toy is not to your liking, you can give it to another child or take it to a used goods store. This will be one toy less to produce, pack and transport.

3 - Recycle!

Recycle cans, bottles, paper, books, etc. Most packaging, of the products we consume daily, is recyclable. This means it can be re-processed to be used again. Paper, for example, is transformed back to paper or other derived products.

4 - Enjoy nature!

Enjoy the outdoors. There is much to learn from nature. One of the most simple and fun things to do is go out and explore it. Watch ants transporting leaves or bees gathering pollen; all creatures can contribute to a healthy, green forest.

Every day we make decisions that may affect the amount of waste and pollution produced in the world. Kids, the earth needs green heroes. Will you be one? Let's get to work! Together we will keep our planet green. Your mission is to create a green club. All its members will have the responsibility to monitor and remind family, neighbours and friends to be green: reduce, reuse, recycle and enjoy the environment.
